Quick answers
Did Arash Barkhodaee co-found SkyPrep?
Yes. BetaKit (2014-03-10) profiled SkyPrep's "three founding brothers": CEO Babak Barkhodaei as the oldest, "middle brother Arash" as CTO, and younger brother Sep as product manager. SkyPrep's own About page, checked 2026-10-16, lists Arash Barkhodaee as Chief Technology Officer alongside Babak Barkhodaei (CEO) and Sepand Barkhodaee (Chief Product Officer). The company site spells his surname Barkhodaee, and his brother Babak's Barkhodaei; this page follows the site.
What did he do before SkyPrep?
BetaKit (2014-03-10) says Babak and Arash had earlier launched a training course for aspiring police officers, which earned enough for them to work on it full time but left them dependent on officers to write the content. They built SkyPrep as the e-learning platform they had wanted; it launched in January 2013 after a beta, moved into the Ryerson Digital Media Zone in August 2013, and by March 2014 had 100,000 learners and clients from the YMCA to the Buffalo Bills.
Has Arash Barkhodaee spoken at TechTO?
No, and nobody from SkyPrep's founding team has. The only SkyPrep appearance on a TechTO stage was a January 2017 "Hack of the Month" demo of the company's BoostHQ knowledge-sharing product, given by two employees named Sara and Yihua.
Where is he based, and what is his role today?
SkyPrep's About page, checked 2026-10-16, still lists him as Chief Technology Officer and gives the company's address as 503 Queen Street East, Toronto, Ontario; the same page says SkyPrep serves over 1,000,000 learners at 500+ companies. No public page states where he personally lives.
