CBC News reported on October 22, 2017 that Nashman, then a Grade 12 student at Upper Canada College, and Sunrose Billing were co-founders of Synex Medical Inc., and BetaKit called him "CEO and co-founder" on October 29, 2020.

He told CBC News in an interview published October 22, 2017 that he came into The Knowledge Society curious about biotech and biophysics and was pushed to go deep on it there. TechCrunch reported on September 22, 2024 that by 17 he had built a makeshift MRI in his bedroom, and by 18 had interned in brain imaging at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto and enrolled in engineering science at the University of Toronto.

How has Synex Medical been funded?

BetaKit reported on October 29, 2020 that Synex raised a $6.99 million CAD seed round led by Accomplice, with Radical Ventures and Naval Ravikant.
