About

Synex Medical is a Toronto deep-tech medical-device company founded by Ben Nashman in 2017. It miniaturizes magnetic resonance — the principle behind MRI — into a device that can measure critical blood metabolites without drawing blood. On stage in 2020, operations lead Andressa Lacerda described a first prototype targeted for late 2020 and a longer-term vision of a wearable ring for continuous measurement.

Backers

Raised a US$5.25M seed round in October 2020 led by Accomplice, with Radical Ventures and angel investor Naval Ravikant, followed by a roughly US$21.8M Series A in September 2024 (over US$36M raised in total).
