Culture, if you look at the encyclopedic definition, is a system of beliefs and value systems. In my experience what you're really looking for is not a series of values or beliefs — it's actually the expression or manifestation of those beliefs and values. It's kind of the unwritten rules of the organization.
Leadership is a contact sport. If all you're doing is sitting in a corner office looking at tactical reports, preparing mission statements, vision statements, objectives and key results — chances are you're not really leading, you're managing. True leadership is immersive.
Processes are amazing tools. The issue is they're also incredibly dangerous — process without thought is a religion. And I've seen this countless times.
