figure out the why and what this is is you know why why does your company exist why are you meaningful what why are you different and it touches everything if you get this right from product to strategy to who's your customer
also saying no is very powerful because saying no helps to align the organization so that everyone is rowing in the same direction everyone's reading off the same page
all I can say is if this is the journey you're on or you're going to go down this path be prepared for some massive pain and suffering but also be prepared for some massive personal growth and potential rewards

Co-founder and CEO of Financeit, a Toronto point-of-sale lender. He co-founded the company in 2011 with Michael Garrity and Paul Sehr, was COO for its first decade, and took over as CEO in January 2024.
What does Financeit do?
It lets contractors, retailers and big-box stores split a big purchase — a renovation, a furnace, a vehicle — into monthly payments. Home improvement is its main vertical and it works with more than 10,000 dealers across Canada.
