Who is Charlie Feng?
A co-founder of Clearco, which launched in 2015 as Clearbanc. BetaKit names him as one of the people who created the company, alongside Michele Romanow, Andrew D'Souza, Ivan Gritsiniak and Tanay Delima. He left Clearco around the start of 2022 and no longer works there.
What did he do at Clearco?
Many jobs. A 2022 Success Story podcast profile says he held seven titles in five years: Clearco's first head of product, then head of marketing, growth, finance, strategy, business operations and new ventures. When he left, Romanow told BetaKit his leadership over six years had been key to building the business.
What did he do after Clearco?
He co-founded Agora, which builds voting and governance tools for crypto protocols. Fortune reported in May 2024 that Agora had raised a US$5 million seed round, and that Feng and fellow co-founder Kent Fenwick both came from Clearco. His personal website, which carries no date, says he is now building Runner, a desktop AI tool.
What did he do before Clearco?
The Success Story profile says he worked in corporate finance and credit and bond rating, started several companies, and was once a professional gamer. His own website lists one of those companies, Hemingly, as an early AI venture out of McGill University.
