How did CMNGD work?
AMA Insider reported on August 31, 2017 that CMNGD rented linens to Calgary area restaurants and offered transitional employment. The Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre gave it after-hours use of its laundry facility and helped it find staff. "They've helped us source the people who need help the most," Cree said. Where did the idea come from?
In the Global News column of July 25, 2018, Cree said the idea came from social justice training through his church community about ten years earlier, which included begging for $15 in spare change on the streets of Edmonton. The column said the business then employed 14 people and that he wanted to expand the model across the country.
