Did David Lynch co-found Hepzibah?
Yes. Hepzibah's own team page, checked 2026-10-16, lists him as board director and "3x founder" of AlephIC, StarIC and Hepzibah, with executive roles at BNR, Gennum, Sigma Designs, Untether AI and CMC. Two Small Fish Ventures' investment announcement, reposted on Hepzibah's news page on 2025-03-18, says Hepzibah AI was founded by Untether AI co-founders Martin Snelgrove and Raymond Chik "along with David Lynch and Taneem Ahmed". The 2024 Canadian Semiconductor Symposium (Markham, 2024-10-09/10) listed him as "Co-Founder/VP Hardware Technology, Hepzibah".
What did David Lynch do before Hepzibah?
His biography on Kapik Integration's site, checked 2026-10-16, runs from Bell-Northern Research/Nortel, where he started in mixed-signal design and ended with global responsibility for its semiconductor design and tools division, to Gennum as VP of research, then SVP and general manager of video products and CTO, and Sigma Designs from 2008 as VP and general manager of multimedia products. He joined Kapik's board in 2014, became its COO in February 2015, and co-founded Star IC, a 2020 spin-off from Kapik, as its CEO. MarketScreener dates the BNR years as 1978 to 1994 and Gennum as 1994 to 2008, and gives an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto. CMC Microsystems' release of 2021-09-08 named him vice-president, technology, after more than thirty years with CMC as a board member and chair of its Strategic Technology Council. StarIC's own company page today names four other co-founders and not him, and no public record of AlephIC was found.
What is David Lynch doing now, and where is he based?
Hepzibah's team page, checked 2026-10-16, lists him as board director and places CMC among his past executive roles; Kapik's about page still lists him as a director. CMC listed him as its own speaker at the Canadian Semiconductor Symposium in November 2023, and the 2024 symposium listed him for Hepzibah. Whether he still holds the CMC role was not confirmed on a live CMC page (its leadership pages refuse automated fetches). His LinkedIn profile gives Burlington, Ontario; no other page states where he is based.
Has David Lynch spoken at TechTO?
No. Co-founder Raymond Chik did, at TechTO on 2023-05-08 and on TechTO's Founder Journey on 2023-07-14, both times about Untether AI rather than Hepzibah.
