Isaac Oslund co-founded Bananatag in Kelowna in 2011 and was its chief technology officer. What began as a weekend project to track email opens grew into internal-communications software used by Fortune 500 companies. Bananatag merged with the German firm Staffbase in 2021. A self-taught programmer, Oslund was based in the company's Vancouver office.
