Quick answers

Did Jeff Brunet co-found Wysdom?

Yes. BetaKit (2024-01-16) wrote that Wysdom was "Founded in 2012 as CrowdCare by CEO Ian Collins and CTO Jeff Brunet." BetaKit's earlier coverage of CrowdCare (2014-01-28 and 2014-10-23) said the company was "originally founded in 2012 by entrepreneurs Ian Collins and Jeff Brunet," and the October 2014 story quoted him as "Co-Founder & President." Brainstation Magazine (2014-01-29) also quoted him as "president of CrowdCare." So his title at the company appears as both president and CTO in the press.

What does Jeff Brunet do today?

He is a managing partner at GreenSky Ventures, a Toronto venture firm investing in early-stage Canadian B2B deep tech and enterprise software. GreenSky's own team page (greensky.vc/our-team, read 2026-10-23) lists him as "Managing Partner" and says "He was previously the founder of five technology startups" and "the holder of 30 patents across artificial intelligence, wireless technology, and consumer electronics." BetaKit (2025-07-15) reported he "joined GreenSky as a managing partner in December" 2024 after first becoming a limited partner in its sixth fund, and that he chairs the board of portfolio company Ethica Channel Enablement.

What did Jeff Brunet do before Wysdom?

He was chief technology officer of Mobile Diagnostix, a Toronto software company whose SmartCare product diagnosed handset configuration problems for mobile operators. When Bitfone Corporation bought it in August 2004, Mobile Europe (2004-08-16) reported that "Jeff Brunet, former CTO for Mobile Diagnostix, will become Bitfone's chief technology officer," while Ian Collins, Mobile Diagnostix's CEO, became a Bitfone senior vice president. HP later agreed to buy Bitfone (Light Reading, 2006-12-21). BetaKit (2025-07-15) describes him as "a five-time founder and long-time angel" who "has sold multiple tech companies, including Clickfree, Mobile Diagnostix, and Wysdom" and made early investments in Locationary, PushLife and SurfEasy. No fetched page says where he studied.

Has Jeff Brunet spoken at TechTO?

No. Wysdom's one TechTO stage appearance is by co-founder and CEO Ian Collins, who sat on the Microsoft AI panel at the TechTO Special Edition in June 2018. Brunet has spoken to the press: BetaKit (2025-07-15) quoted him on joining GreenSky, "The bulk of the value I bring is I've just been there so many times," and BetaKit (2014-10-23) quoted him on CrowdCare's $3.5 million raise.
