Who is Jennifer Arnold?
Co-founder of Minerva, the Toronto anti-money-laundering software company she started in 2018 and led as CEO. She was previously senior director of AML transformation at CIBC and VP of governance and programs at Wells Fargo Canada. Minerva's own leadership page now lists co-founder Victor Tay as CEO.
What does Minerva do?
It automates the client risk assessment behind anti-money-laundering compliance. Arnold told BetaKit in 2024 the platform builds a risk profile in under 20 seconds, cutting a case that took six to eight hours down to about one.
How much has Minerva raised?
About CA$14.6 million disclosed: a CA$2.6 million seed in spring 2021 led by Fika Ventures and a CA$12 million Series A in 2023 led by FirstMark Capital. Coinbase Ventures and MKT1 are also listed among its investors.
