Some lessons learned and what I have changed: I now add thirty to fifty percent more time to any task that I take on. I set boundaries. When I go home that night, 7am to 7pm is what I work.

Quick answers
Who is Jim Robeson?
Co-founder and CEO of PiinPoint, a Waterloo location-intelligence software company he started with Adam Saunders in 2013 and took through Y Combinator in 2014.
What does PiinPoint do?
It tells retailers exactly where to locate. As Robeson put it on stage, if a brand wants to open hundreds of stores, PiinPoint identifies every specific location where they are most likely to succeed.
What was his TechWaterloo talk about?
Burnout and balance. He described maxing out his credit and student line of credit, driving 16 hours round-trip once a month to see his girlfriend, and collapsing one morning, before learning to set limits so the company didn't cost him his health or his relationships.
