Josh Domingues founded Flashfood in 2016 and is its Executive Chairman, having handed the CEO role to Nicholas Bertram in January 2024. Flashfood sells grocers' near-expiry food at a discount through an app, which the company says has rerouted millions of pounds of food from landfill. He told TechTO in 2019 that direct-to-consumer nearly killed the company.
