Quick answers
Did Josh Walters co-found Feedback?
Yes. The Canadian Jewish News reported on 21 December 2017 that Feedback was founded by cousins Ben Walters, then 26, as co-founder and CEO, and Josh Walters, then 22, as co-founder and chief marketing officer. The Wehl Blog's 3 May 2018 interview introduces him the same way, as "co-founder and CMO of the Feedback App".
What did Josh Walters build at Feedback?
Feedback was a Toronto mobile app that let restaurants post time- and quantity-limited discounts on prepared food, cutting waste and filling off-peak hours. In the Wehl Blog interview of 3 May 2018 Walters said discounts ran 20 to 70 percent off, that Feedback had over 200 restaurant partners in Toronto, and that it had rescued over 8,200 meals and donated over 2,000 through Second Harvest. The Canadian Jewish News, 21 December 2017, reported 100 restaurant partners and 10,000 downloads two months after launch.
Where did the Feedback idea come from?
Walters told The Wehl Blog on 3 May 2018 that it started with "late night pizza": an owner offered him full pizzas just before close that would otherwise have been thrown out. WeWork's community-stories piece of 1 June 2017 tells a matching version set in Rome and describes him as 21 and finishing at Queen's University while working on the app.
What does Josh Walters do now?
Not confirmed as of 2026-09-21. The most recent verifiable record is BetaKit, 24 September 2019, reporting that travel app Hopper acquired Gravy, the dynamic-pricing company the Walters cousins had spun out of Feedback, and that Josh Walters joined Hopper's product design team while Ben Walters became a Hopper GM. No 2025 or 2026 source for a current role was found that is not LinkedIn or a contact-data aggregator, so none is asserted here (checked 2026-09-21).
