Feedback

Feedback was a Toronto app that cut restaurant food waste by applying dynamic pricing: restaurants offered surplus prepared meals at time- and quantity-limited discounts during slow periods, and diners bought them at roughly 30% off. Co-founded in 2017 by Ben Walters and his cousin Josh Walters, its technology later became Gravy.

About

Feedback let restaurants sell excess prepared food at dynamic discounts to reduce waste and fill off-peak hours. It reached about 100 restaurant partners and 10,000 downloads by late 2017 and won a 2017 WeWork Creator Award. The dynamic-pricing technology was spun into Gravy, which travel app Hopper acquired in September 2019.
