About
Thomas Buchan, a filmmaker with three kids and no cooking skills, saw the meal-kit subscription My Food Bag on a trip to New Zealand and built a British Columbia version. Fuud collected fresh produce and organic meats from Fraser Valley farms, paired them with recipes from local chefs, and delivered across the province, aiming at parents, busy professionals and empty nesters. It switched to plant-based packaging and pitched the Dragons for $90,000 in March 2018. Buchan demoed the product live at TechVancouver in February 2017.
