The Quantum Insider reported on 2025-06-19 that "Xatoms was founded in 2024 by entrepreneurs Diana Virgovicova, Kerem Topal Ismail Oglou and Shirley Zhong while at the University of Toronto and Western University." Forbes Türkiye's profiles of him (2024-12-05 and 2025-01-03) put the founding in 2023.
