The founder and CEO of Maman Biomedical, a Toronto medtech company developing microneedle drug delivery for fertility and hormone therapy. She holds a PhD in materials science and spent a decade in medical device R&D before founding the company.
What does Maman Biomedical do?
It builds microneedle platforms — the Maman Port, the Maman Patch and the Maman Sense biosensor — designed to replace the injections and blood draws in hormone therapy, starting with IVF.
Why did she start the company?
She went through IVF herself and saw how many injections it required. She built the first prototypes on her kitchen counter in Toronto, as she told the Globe and Mail in December 2024.
