About

Maman Biomedical develops microneedle platforms that deliver hormones through the skin instead of by hypodermic needle. Latchmi Raghunanan, a materials scientist with a decade in medical device R&D, built the first prototypes on her kitchen counter in Toronto after going through IVF; the Globe and Mail covered the company in December 2024. Its stated aim is to reformulate existing drugs — fertility first, then contraception, menopause therapy, diabetes and vaccines.
