Yes. Retail Insider reported on May 24, 2023 that "Kotn launched in Toronto in 2015" and named Yeates as "one of the co-founders and Chief Brand Officer", and Gulf News wrote on November 6, 2025 that Rami Helali "founded in 2015 with friends Benjamin Sehl and Mackenzie Yeates". Toronto Metropolitan University's journalism publication said the same on November 22, 2021.
