In their words
That's the photo at Cabana Pool Bar where Andrew convinced me to drop out of Ivey. I was too scared to tell my parents that I was dropping out, so I didn't for six months, and I basically crashed on Andrew's couch.
No one really has any idea what's going on, so you kind of just need to fake it till you make it.
Make decisions earlier in your career to prioritize your learning and building a network. I had a million people tell me dropping out was a terrible idea.

Quick answers
What is Boardy?
An AI networking agent, founded in Toronto in 2024 by a group including Clearco co-founder Andrew D'Souza. Stein presented it at TechTO's Rocketships event at Toronto City Hall in October 2024.
What did he do at Clearco?
He joined as one of the first interns, cold-calling Uber drivers, then moved into chief of staff and corporate development. He told TechTO he spent most of his time raising capital in a period when the company raised roughly $500 million of equity and $1.5 billion of debt.
What is Boon?
A fund Stein started while at Clearco to back Canadian founders and help them syndicate rounds to US investors, on the argument that Canadian founders lack the family networks that open those doors elsewhere.
