Michael Stumm co-founded OANDA in 1995 with Richard Olsen and ran the currency-trading company as CEO from 2001 to 2012. He is professor emeritus of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Toronto, where he also co-founded SOMA Networks. He spoke at TechTO in August 2016 on what building OANDA taught him.
