She said on stage in October 2016 that she had left a corporate job — speechwriter to the CEO of BC Hydro — to build an online art marketplace with two part-time co-founders, and that the structure, not the idea, was what an investor could not fund.

She was on the founding team of Ethelo Decisions, then founded ArtsAlly, a portal for discovering and supporting local artists, which Kabuni Technologies acquired in 2015. Nxt Level You came next, co-founded with Scott Nelson; she closed it after a health crisis.
