Did Mike Evans found Reframe Health Lab?
Yes. Reframe Health Lab's own founder page, as archived on March 9, 2017, is titled "Founder Dr. Mike Evans" and says he brought creatives, patients and clinicians together in a media lab, "now Reframe". Mercury Films' Reframe Health page, checked September 24, 2026, says that in 2011 he teamed up with Nicholas de Pencier and illustrator Liisa Sorsa to make 23½ Hours.
What was his academic and clinical work?
In a Dive Brief published September 22, 2016, Healthcare Dive described him as head of digital preventive medicine at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute and an associate professor of family and community medicine at the University of Toronto, and said he had been a physician at St. Michael's Hospital. A speaker page for a June 2025 conference lists him as a Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Toronto.
