Quick answers

Who is Mohit Kishore?

A co-founder of Hyfer Technologies. A personal site, mohitkishore.com (read 2026-10-21), lists "Hyfer Technologies (Co-founder)" with the title "Product Manager & Co-founder" from "February 2017 - November 2019", and says "Co-founded and scaled a technology company." On the TechTO stage in October 2017, Heshan Modaragamage opened with "I am the CEO and co-founder of Hyfer Technologies, this is my partner Mohit" (0:02). Hyfer's own team page, hyfertech.com/about.html (read 2026-10-21), lists Kishore today as "Mohit Kishore CSM, PRODUCT MANAGER | TECHNICAL LEAD." Before Hyfer, the same site lists a software developer and technical analyst role at York University (August 2012 to April 2018) and a UA developer intern role at SAP Labs in Waterloo (May 2016 to May 2017).

What does Mohit Kishore do today?

Kishore's personal site (read 2026-10-21, footer dated 2025) lists a business analyst role at Telus from "August 2022 - Present", working on Public Mobile's rebranding, and as an MSc in AI for Business student at the National College of Ireland, "2024 - 2026 (Expected)"; its Quick Facts say "Based in Ireland & Canada." The site dates the Hyfer role to 2017 through 2019, yet hyfertech.com still lists Kishore as product manager and technical lead. No dated page reconciles the two, so the header carries the founder title only.

What was Asscky?

A location-based messaging app built by Hyfer. On stage (0:25), Heshan described it as "a location-based messaging application that allows users to interact with content and users specific to their location," aimed first at university students. Kishore's Contra portfolio entry "Asscky by Mohit Kishore" (posted 2022-03-16) says "Asscky lets you find and interact anonymously with posts and comments around your location," and says Kishore architected "the backend using Ruby on Rails and MySQL." Asscky is still listed among Hyfer's products on hyfertech.com; the TechTO archive records that its own domain no longer resolves.

Has Mohit Kishore spoken at TechTO?

Yes, once. On October 25, 2017, Kishore co-presented Hyfer's Demo of the Month, Asscky, with Heshan Modaragamage. Heshan narrated while Kishore operated the app on stage, posting a pin to a TechTO board for the room ("once Mohit puts this pin up anybody that's in this board can publicly view what's there," 1:56) and creating a private board with a code the audience could join. The transcript does not label speakers, so no line in the Q&A can be attributed to Kishore with certainty, and this profile carries no quotes.
