A founder and the chief technology officer of Yroo. The author bio for his book Data Visualization with D3 4.x Cookbook, second edition, published February 2017, calls him "one of the founders and CTO of Yroo.com - meta search engine for online shopping" and "a professional programmer and data engineer with more than a decade experience in software development, big data, and machine learning".
What did he do at Yroo?
He ran the technology. Yroo's own announcement of its funding, issued August 11, 2016, said Margaret Nelligan of Aird & Berlis and "Nick Zhu, CTO of Yroo" had joined the company's board, and that Zhu, who "has an extensive background in IT consulting and systems development, will continue to drive the company's technological vision". James Cunningham was CEO.
What else has he built?
dc.js. The same February 2017 author bio calls him "the creator of dc.js-a popular multidimensional charting library built on D3". He wrote two D3 data-visualization cookbooks for Packt, the second edition published in February 2017.
