Quick answers
What is Raghav Midha's role at Terminal?
Co-founder and chief executive. Y Combinator's company page, checked 2026-10-13, lists him as CEO & Co-Founder and Connor Giles as CTO & Co-Founder, and BetaKit used the same title on 2026-07-29.
Where did the idea for Terminal come from?
Both founders' family businesses. He told TechTO in October 2026 that his parents ran an HVAC business with a fleet of 13 vehicles and Giles's family ran freight brokerages, and that working with APIs like Plaid at NorthOne showed them telematics data lacked the same infrastructure layer.
How did Terminal get its first customers?
By selling before building. He said they took a landing page and sample API documentation back to the people they had interviewed; nine of the first ten saw the need, and two put down a three-month deposit against an annual contract (TechTO stage, October 2026).
How much has Terminal raised?
BetaKit reported a US$20 million Series A led by Battery Ventures on 2026-07-29, with Penske Transportation Solutions and Intact Private Capital joining, and a C$4.2 million seed led by Golden Ventures on 2023-12-13.
