About

Terminal describes itself as telematics data infrastructure for the commercial fleet industry, and its founders call it Plaid for telematics. A company that needs data from commercial vehicles, to price insurance, run a fuel card or manage loads, connects once to Terminal instead of building a separate integration with each telematics provider. BetaKit reported in July 2026 that commercial auto insurance made up about half of revenue and that the platform was processing two terabytes of data a day.

Co-founders Raghav Midha and Connor Giles worked together at the neobank NorthOne before starting Terminal. Midha told TechTO in October 2026 that they went full-time in September 2022, interviewed truck drivers at truck stops in Brampton, and sold the idea from a landing page before writing code: two of the first ten prospects paid a deposit. Terminal went through Y Combinator's Summer 2023 batch, raised a seed round led by Golden Ventures that December and a US$20 million Series A led by Battery Ventures in July 2026. BetaKit reported in November 2025 that Midha chose to keep the company in Toronto.

Who founded Terminal?

Raghav Midha, chief executive, and Connor Giles, chief technology officer. Both worked in product and engineering at the neobank NorthOne before starting the company, according to BetaKit (2023-12-13).

Who has invested in Terminal?
