Quick answers

Did Rajen Ruparell co-found Endy?

Yes. BetaKit's report on the sale (Jessica Galang, 2018-11-29) introduces him as "co-founder and chairman of Endy and majority shareholder" and quotes Sleep Country CEO David Friesema on "Endy's original founders, Rajen Ruparell and Mike Gettis, two best friends from Calgary." Furniture Today (2018-11-30) states "Endy was founded in 2015 by Ruparell and Gettis," and Imperial College London's alumni news (2018-12-14) says "Rajen Ruparell (MSc Management 2007) cofounded Endy." Undated bios at the DMZ and the Royal Conservatory of Music call him "Founder" rather than co-founder; the dated press is used here.

Is Rajen Ruparell Endy's chairman?

He was at the time of the sale. The Globe and Mail (Josh O'Kane, 2018-11-29) describes him as "its chair and majority shareholder," and BetaKit (Amira Zubairi, 2018-12-27) calls him "co-founder and chairman of Endy" and says "Ruparell will chair the board" that oversees Endy inside Sleep Country. His Royal Conservatory of Music director bio and his DMZ profile, both undated and read 2026-10-24, still describe him as Founder and Chairman of Endy. No dated page after 2018 was found confirming the title is current.

What else has Rajen Ruparell done?

His Royal Conservatory of Music director bio (rcmusic.com/bios/rajen-ruparell, read 2026-10-24) says he "is currently the Founder and Chairman of TwoGoose Ventures, a private family office" and that "Before Endy, he was a Co-Founder of Groupon International, via the acquisition of his company Citydeal." The same bio says he "resides with his family in Toronto." The Globe and Mail (2018-11-29) reports he and Gettis are friends from Calgary who attended the University of Toronto together, and Imperial College London lists him as an MSc Management 2007 graduate.

Has Rajen Ruparell spoken at TechTO?

No. Endy appears in this directory through co-founder and CEO Mike Gettis, who has a profile but no TechTO talk, and through Jason Cassidy, Endy's president and general manager, whose TechTO MarketingTO talk on 26 June 2018 was given while he was at Pizza Hut. Ruparell's own 2018 press interviews about the Sleep Country deal are listed under Elsewhere.
