Before that he founded PushLife, sold it to Google in 2011, and spent four years on Google's commerce team launching Google Express. He left Ritual for Shopify in January 2025.

When you talk about Silicon Valley, they don't differentiate between San Francisco and San Jose — in the Bay Area it is one ecosystem. The point here is that we're stronger together. The only way that we win is if we bridge the gap between Toronto and Waterloo.
