Did Rob Attwell really co-found Careteam?
Yes. TechCrunch's June 18, 2019 story on the company names Dr. Alexandra Greenhill and three other co-founders, one of them Robert Attwell (printed there as Robert I. Atwell). A Startup Grind Vancouver listing for his March 2019 appearance also billed him as Co-Founder & COO. Careteam's own website does not use the word co-founder for anyone.
What is his role at Careteam today?
Chief Operating Officer. Careteam's about page and his individual team profile at getcareteam.com, both checked September 2026, list him as Chief Operating Officer alongside CEO and Chief Medical Officer Dr. A. T. Greenhill and Chief Commercial Officer Jeremy P. Smith.
What did he do before Careteam?
His profile on Careteam's own site, checked September 2026, says he co-founded a bottled water company that was sold to Vivendi Universal and built an early subscription software business at Stockgroup Media. The same page says he is an Ivey MBA and served a decade on the board of the Neil Squire Society, including as board chair.
How does he describe his job?
In a July 27, 2017 interview with SME Strategy he described his role as close to a co-CEO job covering operations and finance, and said Careteam ran daily standups and a "red card" system that let any employee halt a decision they disagreed with.
