In their words
What they have is systems in place, and they have coaches. They have coaches for their body, they have coaches for their mind, they probably have coaches for their dogs. They have teams of coaches. I currently have three coaches.
I've started a tech company, I've started a logistics company. I am crazy. And the only way I am living my dream of starting my business — because I've tried three times — is because I have coaches.
Get a coach. You don't have to pay for a coach — you can say, I'm going to develop a great business card for you, would you mind giving me a couple of hours of coaching. And number two, write your dream down and put it somewhere you can see it every single day.

Quick answers
What is AMY Inspired?
A Vancouver furniture-rental service — the name stands for "amazing, memorable years" — that leased a room's worth of furniture month to month rather than selling it, for student housing, offices and home staging. The Georgia Straight reported in August 2019 that a five-piece living room started around $100 a month, with an iOS app that placed pieces in a room using augmented reality.
Why did she start it?
After more than a decade in the furniture industry watching customers put off buying what they actually wanted. Her framing in the Georgia Straight: why wait years to save up for the furniture you like — why can't you have it now? Furniture coming off lease was cleaned and donated to Lower Mainland families, which she described as a circular-economy model.
What was her TechVancouver talk about?
Systems, not hustle. She argued that school and business books leave people throwing things at a wall to see what sticks, and that Olympians succeed because they have coaches and processes behind them. She had three at the time — a business and personal coach, a funding coach, and her mother as what she called her champion coach.
