She was a registered nurse and Director of Patient Education — TechTO's own event listing for the May 2018 HealthTO gave her that title. GrowWise ran medical cannabis clinics and education centres where nurses and physicians built individual treatment plans, and she worked one-to-one with patients before leading education.
What was her argument on the TechTO stage?
That the gap holding medical cannabis back was clinician knowledge, not access. Patients were already asking their doctors and nurses about it, she said, and providers needed to be equipped to have the conversation — she described one patient who came off ten years of opioid medication for chronic pain.
