Quick answers

Did Sepand Barkhodaee co-found SkyPrep?

Yes. BetaKit (2014-03-10) profiled SkyPrep's "three founding brothers": CEO Babak Barkhodaei as the oldest, "middle brother Arash" as CTO, and "younger brother Sep" as product manager, adding that "Sep joined the new company and the three brothers started building a new e-learning platform." SkyPrep's own About page, read 2026-10-16, lists Sepand Barkhodaee as Chief Product Officer under "Our leadership" alongside Babak Barkhodaei (CEO) and Arash Barkhodaee (CTO). The company site spells his and Arash's surname Barkhodaee and Babak's Barkhodaei; this page follows the site.

How did SkyPrep start, and what was his first role?

BetaKit (2014-03-10) says Babak and Arash had earlier run an online training course for aspiring police officers and kept getting enquiries from people who wanted to buy the platform to run their own courses, so the brothers built a cloud e-learning platform from scratch. Sep joined that new company, and in March 2014 BetaKit described him as its product manager. The platform launched in January 2013 after a beta, moved into the Ryerson Digital Media Zone in August 2013, and had clients from the YMCA to the Buffalo Bills. No fetched page gives his education or any job before SkyPrep.

Has Sepand Barkhodaee spoken at TechTO?

No, and nobody from SkyPrep's founding team has. The only SkyPrep appearance on a TechTO stage was a January 2017 "Hack of the Month" demo of the company's BoostHQ knowledge-sharing product, given by two employees named Sara and Yihua.

Where is he based, and what is his role today?

SkyPrep's About page, read 2026-10-16, lists him as Chief Product Officer and gives the company's address as 503 Queen Street East, Toronto; the same page says SkyPrep serves 1,000,000+ learners and 500+ companies and has delivered 850,000+ courses. No public page states where he personally lives, so no city is recorded.
