Did Shawn Jung co-found InputHealth?
Yes. Canadian Healthcare Technology reported on September 29, 2016 that "InputHealth was founded in 2011 by the company's CEO Dr. Damon Ramsey and CTO Shawn Jung, who were then in their early twenties and working out of Damon's uncle's basement." Innovation Factory's March 25, 2020 write-up names him as "Shawn Jung (CTO, Co-Founder)", and BDC's June 11, 2020 news release names CTO Shawn Jung as the company's co-founder alongside Dr. Ramsey.
What did InputHealth build?
A cloud-based Collaborative Health Record: an electronic medical record built around the patient adding to it and around practice automation, rather than around billing transactions, as Canadian Healthcare Technology described it on September 29, 2016. BDC's June 11, 2020 release said the platform was used by more than 2,000 healthcare providers in Canada, the United States, New Zealand and Australia, including Mayo Clinic, Peel Regional Health and the University of British Columbia, and that its COVID-19 screening tool was used by more than 700 Ontario providers.
What happened to InputHealth?
It became a TELUS Health product. A TELUS Health resource page dated June 28, 2021 refers to "the TELUS Collaborative Health Record (formerly InputHealth)", and on September 22, 2026 inputhealth.com redirected to the TELUS Collaborative Health Record page. We could not open a press release stating the acquirer and closing date, because telus.com and the SEC filing archive both refuse automated fetches, so no transaction date is claimed here.
What does Shawn Jung do now?
Not established. Searches run on September 22, 2026 for his name with InputHealth, with TELUS and with a possible later venture returned only profile aggregators and LinkedIn, none of which we treat as sources. No page we opened states his current role, so the founder title is what stands.
