About
Damon Ramsey, a physician, and Shawn Jung founded InputHealth in Vancouver in 2011, working out of a relative's basement on an idea Ramsey had while in medical school: that the electronic medical record should collect information from the patient directly rather than only from the clinician typing after the fact. They called the result a Collaborative Health Record, and it was the first Canadian cloud-based system of its kind. Dr. Puneet Seth joined in 2013 as chief medical officer and later served as president; he took the HealthTO stage in August 2019 to argue that a digital health company's values decide how its product reaches patients, not the other way round. TELUS Health acquired InputHealth in 2020 and continues to sell the product as the TELUS Collaborative Health Record; Seth stayed on as chief medical director of innovation and is now co-founder and CEO of nymble health.
