Sheldon McCormick has led Communitech, the Waterloo innovation hub, since April 2025. He co-founded Properly and was its chief operating officer, from launch in 2018 to the founders' exit when the company was sold in 2023, and before that spent four years at Uber, latterly as general manager for ride-sharing in Ontario.
