Opportunities for FinTech in Canadian Real Estate, at FintechTO in July 2019. He argued real estate was the most overlooked area for fintech in Canada and shared what eighteen months of operating Properly in Calgary had taught him.
What happened to Properly?
It raised roughly $100M, dropped its purchase guarantee in January 2023 amid a volatile housing market, and was sold that year in two transactions; the founders exited. See the Properly page for the detail.
