The co-founder and CEO of BioRender. BioRender's about page listed her as CEO & Cofounder when checked in September 2026, and its Y Combinator company page lists her as CEO and co-founder. University of Toronto News described her as co-founder and CEO in August 2018.
What did Shiz Aoki do before BioRender?
University of Toronto News reported in August 2018 that she has a master's in medical illustration from Johns Hopkins, worked as a lead illustrator for National Geographic, and lectured occasionally at U of T's Faculty of Medicine. BioRender's about page calls her a former Lead Medical Illustrator for National Geographic.
