Tamar Huggins founded Tech Spark in 2015, a Toronto tech and design school built for girls and children of colour. She earlier started DRIVEN, a Canadian accelerator for BIPOC founders, and in 2023 raised US$1.4M to build Spark Plug AI, a culturally responsive alternative to general-purpose chatbots. She has spoken at TechTO twice since 2018.
