In their words
the bar we shoot for is that when some practitioner goes out and asks a question on some Facebook group like, hey, what software should I use for my acupuncture practice — that's the answer we want to see: I use Jane and I love it.
our whole story is this one of being pulled into new markets, finding out really quickly we don't have product market fit yet in that market, and then scrambling as a company to figure out how to address that product market fit so we don't lose those customers.

Quick answers
What is Trevor Johnston known for?
Co-founding Jane Software with Alison Taylor and growing it, without venture funding, into practice-management software for allied-health clinics with more than 500 staff.
How did Jane start?
Taylor was opening a health practice in North Vancouver and needed a website and logo; Johnston ran a digital agency nearby. He offered to build something for her booking problem instead, as he told the TechTO Vancouver audience in March 2025.
