Yes. The Georgia Straight reported on 2017-07-12 that Angela Hamilton and fellow Quupe founders Zeeshan Rasool, Vijay Ramaswamy and Amanda Shou came up with the idea while attending Vancouver's Centre for Digital Media. Quupe's own About page, archived 2017-09-10, lists Ramaswamy as co-founder and growth design lead.
