First make the sale. I don't give a about the business plan. Who cares about the prototype? Who is the guy, the girl, who is the one knocking on doors, getting a hundred people to pay for that product?

Quick answers

What is Thriver?

The Toronto company formerly called Platterz. It started as a marketplace for corporate catering and now sells a workplace-culture platform covering food, experiences and wellness programs, with spending tracking and employee feedback built in.

Why did Platterz change its name?

The pivot came with a $33 million US Series B led by Viola Growth, announced in August 2020. With offices emptied by the pandemic, the food-centric brand no longer described what the company sold, so it relaunched as Thriver.
