Platterz launched in 2016 to fix corporate catering: one marketplace where an office manager could order food, track the spend and see what people thought of it. A US$6.7 million seed round followed in 2017. When the pandemic emptied offices, the food-centric brand stopped describing the business, and in August 2020 the company raised a US$33 million Series B led by Viola Growth and relaunched as Thriver — an enterprise platform for food, experiences and wellness programs, with spend tracking and employee feedback attached. Yishay Waxman co-founded it and is president; he also co-founded the venture firm Clarim Ventures.
