About
Avocare came out of a long conversation between founder Vik Luthra and his wife, a family physician, about how much of a clinic's day disappears into the phone. The product gives reception desks two-way digital channels — SMS, web messaging, Facebook Messenger — and automates routine requests with an in-house AI assistant. It later added Remote Care, letting patients reach their doctor from wherever they are. Taylan Pince joined as CTO and partner and presented the company's AI work at TechTO's HealthTO in October 2019.
