It was founded in 2011 by Carol Leaman and Christine Tutssel and raised roughly $35M in venture funding, including a $27M growth round led by JMI Equity in 2016. Private-equity firm Luminate Capital Partners acquired the company in April 2021.

Why did Axonify buy Nudge?

To add frontline employee communication to its training platform. Nudge co-founder and CEO Lindsey Goodchild became Axonify's chief strategy officer. Goodchild and Carol Leaman discussed the deal on the TechTO Together stage in November 2022.
