About
Nabavi took Babbly to the December 2019 TechTO stage while it was still pre-launch and pre-revenue, and made that the point of the talk: what she had was a story, and the story was doing the work. Her son was nonverbal at two, was diagnosed as being on the spectrum, was told he might never speak — and with speech therapy was putting short sentences together in under six months. Most families do not get that outcome, and Babbly exists to change the odds by catching developmental signals early. Inside six to nine months the company had gone from an idea to an award at the Elevate tech conference, a partnership with Holland Bloorview, well-known pediatricians on side, and 300 signups for a private beta. The product uses AI to analyze the videos and audio parents already record, and returns an assessment of language and social development with a plan attached.

Quick answers
What does Babbly do?
It listens. Parents upload the videos and audio they already record of their babies, and Babbly's AI analyzes speech and social signals against development milestones, returning a personalized plan to support language growth.
Why was Babbly started?
Nabavi's son was nonverbal at two and diagnosed as autistic, then began speaking in short sentences within six months of speech therapy. She built Babbly because most families do not get that early intervention.
What had Babbly done before launching?
Won an award at the Elevate tech conference, partnered with Holland Bloorview, and gathered 300 private-beta signups in under a month — all pre-launch, as of the December 2019 TechTO talk.
