Boast.AI

Boast.AI automates R&D tax credit and government innovation funding claims, a process it describes as manual and slow for the businesses entitled to the money. Founded in Vancouver by Alex Popa and Lloyed Lobo, it bootstrapped to eight-figure revenue before raising from Radian Capital.

About

Boast.AI turns the paperwork of government R&D funding into a product, and grew for years without venture money — the community-led growth story its co-founder has told repeatedly. It raised $23 million in December 2020 and $30 million from Radian Capital, and Lloyed Lobo has taken TechTO audiences through the round twice in the Founders & Funding series, once with Radian's Chris Livingston and once with board chair Laurie Schultz.

Backers

Radian Capital led a $30M round; earlier $23M round reported December 2020
