About
Bowhead Health started from the position that health data should belong to the patient. Its early product was an encrypted health wallet letting people own, track and choose to monetise their own health and wellness data, with smart contracts allowing them to lease anonymised records to research studies without an intermediary. Co-founder Dr. Rhea Mehta laid out that case at TechTO's HealthTO in November 2017, running through blockchain applications in supply chain integrity, billing fraud and clinical trials before arriving at data management as the problem the company cared most about. The company raised over US$1M through a token sale in early 2018 and has since moved into AI precision medicine, with Bowhead Navigator for clinical-trial matching, and was selected for Mayo Clinic Platform_Accelerate in October 2025.
