About
Canalyst was a Vancouver-based financial-data and equity-research SaaS company. Founded in 2015 by James Rife and Damir Hot, it combined software with human analysts to build and maintain detailed financial models covering thousands of public companies, sold to portfolio managers and other institutional investors. Tegus acquired Canalyst in 2022; the team and product became part of Tegus.
Backers
Series C of ~C$90M in early 2022 led by Dragoneer Investment Group, with CPP Investments, Alta Fox Capital, HighSage Ventures, ScaleUP Ventures and Vanedge Capital. Earlier support from Vancouver investors.
