About
Comscore measures what audiences watch and do across television, digital and cross-platform environments, and sells that measurement to advertisers, agencies and media owners. It was founded in 1999 by Magid Abraham and Gian Fulgoni and listed on Nasdaq in 2007 under the ticker SCOR. Full-year 2025 revenue was US$357.5M, up 0.4% on 2024, with adjusted EBITDA of US$42.0M and cross-platform solutions growing 24%. Bryan Segal, then a senior vice president, spoke at TechTO's marketing event in October 2019 on measuring gaming and esports audiences — opening with the caveat that most of the data he had was American rather than Canadian.
Backers
A public company, listed on Nasdaq under SCOR since its 2007 IPO.
Quick answers
What does Comscore measure?
Audiences across television, digital and cross-platform media — local and national TV ratings, digital audience measurement, campaign validation and advertising audiences through its Proximic business.
Is Comscore public?
Yes. It has traded on Nasdaq under the ticker SCOR since its 2007 IPO, and reported US$357.5M of revenue for full-year 2025.
What did Comscore say on the TechTO stage?
In October 2019 Bryan Segal argued that ‘gaming’ is not one audience: console players, esports viewers, PC and mobile gamers each have different demographics, engagement and buying behaviour, and so need different marketing.
